What really upsets me at this time of year, is people stealing from organizations helping needy families. Recently, I heard of two churches being broken into and toys collected for children being stolen. And another church had thirty hams for families taken. It's sad and is the very opposite of the meaning of Christmas.
2. How about all those yummy foods that only appear during the holidays? Then they're gone! I guess I'd weigh a ton if they were available year-round.
3. If you stand under plastic mistletoe, do you get air kisses? Or fake kisses? Do they count as real kisses? Just wondering.
4. The other day, I bought lots at a big stuff-mart. My husband unpacked the bags when I got home. The next day I couldn't find things I had purchased, so I checked over my list and found seven items that didn't make it home with me! Now I gotta go back and do some sweet-talking to get what I paid for a few days ago.
5. If you no longer believe in Santa Claus, does that mean there is less magic in the world? Perhaps, but I think not --- because we give gifts to the needy and to loved ones and so the spirit of giving lives on in us.
